Sue Fota

Sue Fota is responsible for directing Protea’s financial and fiscal management including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, and risk management. Additionally, she assists with investor reporting.

Sue has over 30 years of accounting industry experience. Prior to joining Protea in 2019, she served as Director of Administration & Financial Reporting, Chief Compliance Officer, and Controller for Southwest Value Partners, a privately held real estate investment company specializing in real estate investments located in growth markets throughout the United States since 2002. Sue’s real estate experience also includes being an Assistant Controller for TrizecHahn, a developer and owner of regional shopping malls throughout the United States, and an auditor with both Deloitte & Touche and KPMG where her primary focus was in the real estate and financial services industries.

Sue received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from San Diego State University. She is a California licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
